A-CAD COMMAND "EXTEND"


EXTEND:

Extend command is used to extend the object to the limit selected. Objects that can be extended to form a line, arc, ellipse pieces, polyline and ray. Extend command is not working for a circle or ellipse-shaped object is intact.

AutoCAD Extend Commad

Command: extend
Current system: Projection = UCS Edge = Extend
Select boundary edges ...
Select Objects: (select the object to be used as a boundary extension)
Select Objects: (enter)
Select object to extend or [Project / Edge / Undo]: (select the object to be stretched, or select an option)
Select object to extend or [Project / Edge / Undo]: (enter, to end the command)

The boundaries that used to form an arc, circle, ellipse, xline, polyline, text, and the boundaries of the viewport that can be removable. If a polyline form thick / wide limits be extended, then the object is stretched to meet up in the middle of the polyline.

On the Edge Option, used for objects that almost meet / intersect each other, but not yet crossed. So the objects would intersect if extended.
